Accessibility declaration
Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH | DRAUSSENSTADT Berlin strives to make its web presence barrier-free. The digital accessibility declaration is required by the Berlin Accessible Information and Communication Technology Act (BIKTG Bln). The technical requirements for accessibility result from the BITV 2.0.
This declaration on digital accessibility applies to the website www.draussenstadt.berlin
When was the accessibility statement created?
This declaration was created or reviewed on 13.09.2022. The technical audit of accessibility was carried out as a self-assessment by the facility listed above.
How accessible is the offer?
The website is for the most part compatible with the requirements of BITV 2.0. We are striving to continuously reduce remaining barriers and to eliminate them as far as possible.
Which areas are not barrier-free?
The areas listed below are not barrier-free for the following reasons:
Disproportionate burden
Subareas that are not designed to be barrier-free, as it would be a disproportionate burden. (BIKTG Bln §4 paragraph 3)
Subsection: 9.1.1.1b Alternative texts for graphics and object (external content)
Description: A large proportion of the non-linked graphics and images obtained from external sources are not provided with alternative texts. This primarily concerns graphics and images of events.
Explanation of why there is disproportionate burden: The data for the events on www.draussenstadt.berlin are entered by Berliners themselves into the "Submit your event" form on the website. Detailed editorial control of this very extensive amount of data by the website's editorial team is not feasible and therefore represents a disproportionate burden. The editors of the website draw the user’s attention in the entry form to the necessity of assigning alternative texts for graphics and objects.
