Tanz im August calls on people to engage with nature and sustainability. The question of how artists, and international festivals in particular, respond to the urgency of the climate crisis will be taken into the city by means of an open call: right into the heart of Berlin's parks. Twenty-two short choreographies by Berlin artists were selected from numerous project proposals on the overall theme of "Linking Dance and Ecology". On August 19, eight of the choreographies will be presented in the Stadtpark Lichtenberg as part of the Cultural Summer Festival Berlin 2023.
