“That’s just what I needed!”: On 3rd September, as part of the Kultursommerfestival, Berlin’s public libraries will be organising a city-wide event programme featuring a variety of activities, readings, concerts and workshops. The Bode-Uhse Library in Lichtenberg invites Berliners and guests to join them for a musical journey through an array of cultural spaces. Ares Gratal will present her debut album, which combines traditional Catalan songs, folk and pop with touches of flamenco, jazz and Latin American rhythms. The Swiss-Moroccan singer Malika Alaoui and her multicultural project Maemo will perform Afro-European nomad chansons in French, Creole and Moroccan. And, finally, Murphy’s Law will play new Irish songs and dance melodies combined with elements of folk, country, blues and rock. Come and enjoy the wide array of library listening experiences and find out more about the project “Unsere Bibliothek = Unsere Vielfalt” (Our library = Our diversity) organised by Migrantas e.V. No registration is required.
