Got a great project or event idea and looking for financing?

As part of the DRAUSSENSTADT initiative, there are various funding and financing options so that a large number and variety of activities can be implemented in the city, including the Urban Practice Project Fund.

This year there was also district funding for artistic projects in urban space and the Call for Action, which can be used to finance cultural events in urban space. This year's call for proposals ran from 6 to 24 April 2023. More information and an overview of the projects that were recommended for funding can be found here.

The support point for Kreativ Kultur Berlin, the Berlin support centre for cultural support and creative industries, also regularly consult on opportunities for support. The monthly newsletter lists helpful roundups of the latest support opportunities.

Want to discuss DRAUSSENSTADT and Urbane Praxis ideas, make connections, and reflect on urban spaces?

The Urbane Praxis initiative reflects on the engagement with Berlin's urban spaces, and has conceptualised an Urbane Praxis action plan, a roadmap for sustainable support and structural development. The growing collection “ÜBER urbane praxis” showcases concrete experiences, topics, strategies and modes of actions from people involved in Berlin. Originating from the pioneering project Haus der Statistik, it has connections to the campus projects of the Urbane Praxis initiative, and brings them away from the periphery and into the middle of the city.
